Approval of Consent Calendar

A. Approval of Consent Calendar:

It is recommended the Board approve all items of the Consent Calendar as presented or amended.

B. Certificated Personnel Items:

It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.

C. Classified Personnel Items:

It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented

D. Approval of Warrants and Purchase Orders:

It is recommended the Board approve the warrants and purchase orders for September as presented.

E. Approval of Strong Schools Bond Change Orders:

It is recommended the Board approve the attached list of Strong Schools Bond change orders as listed.

F. Uniform Complaint (Williams Settlement) Quarterly Report:

This item is for information only and no action is required.

A. Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC):

It is recommended the Board review the 2017 CAASPP/Smarter Balanced ELA/Literacy and Mathematics District data

 

 

B. Approval of 2017-18 District Goals and Established Priorities:

It is recommended the Board approve the District Goals and Established Priorities for the 2017-18 school year. This item was previously discussed at the August 8, 2017, special meeting, pulled from the September 12, 2017, regular meeting due to time constraint, and discussed at the October 10, 2017, regular meeting.

C. Board Policies:

It is recommended the Board approve Board Policy (BP) 6151 Class Size.

 

 

F. Hoover Elementary School Schematic Design Approval:

It is recommended the Board approve the schematic design for Hoover Elementary School

 

 

G. Conceptual Design Approval for Multipurpose Buildings at El Carmelo, Escondido, and Walter Hays Elementary Schools:

It is recommended the Board approve the conceptual design and scope of the projects for each school as outlined below.

 

 

D. Sale of Surplus Equipment:

It is recommended the Board 10 declare surplus items and 2) direct surplus items to be auctioned online.

 

 

E.  Superintendent Search Process:

The Board will discuss next steps in the process for conducting a search for the position of Superintendent.

 

 

H. Interim Assistant Superintendent Contract:

It is recommended the Board waive the two-meeting rule and approve the Interim Assistant Superintendent Contract.

I. Term Limits:

It is recommended the Board discuss a proposal to limit board member terms and identify actions to follow.

 

 

J. Proposal to Reopen Negotiations with Palo Alto Educators Association Over 2017-18 One-Time Bonus:

The Board will conduct a public hearing and take discussion regarding the District’s proposals for negotiations with PAEA:

 

K. Proposal to Reopen Negotiations with Palo Alto Educators Association Over 2017-18 One-Time Bonus:

The Board will take action regarding the District’s proposals for negotiations with PAEA

 

L. Proposal to Reopen Negotiations with California School Employees Association Chapter 301 Over 2017-18 One-Time Bonus: The Board will conduct a public hearing and take discussion regarding the District’s proposals for negotiations with CSEA Chapter 301.
