With restrictive anti-abortion laws passing in several states around the country, filmmaker Dorothy Fadiman’s award-winning documentary series “Choice: Then & Now” is an in-depth examination of what’s at stake. Stories of women who underwent back-alley abortions, the struggle to secure reproductive protections under the law, and the continuing attack against abortion providers and harassment of patients are all brought to life through first-person interviews.
Midpen Media will air the series on June 15th and 22nd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Comcast Cable and AT&T U-verse channel 30. Look for program titles, “When Abortion Was Illegal: Untold Stories,” “From Danger to Dignity: The Fight for Safe Abortion,” and “Fragile Promise of Choice: Abortion in the US Today.”
Fadiman’s Choice at Risk website offers additional reproductive rights resources and shareable clips from the documentaries.
