What?
Midpen Media Center is celebrating Community Media Week, a joint celebration of Free Speech Week and Community Media Day, including an Open House on Wednesday, October 20th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. We will be hosting various events throughout the week to celebrate the importance of Free Speech in our country and the vital role that Community Media plays in providing hyper-local media coverage.

Join us Wednesday for food! music! art! networking! and tours of our studio and newly imagined collaborative creative spaces for media makers to gather and work on their projects!

Where?

Events will be held at our studios located at 900 San Antonio Rd. Palo Alto, CA 94303 and virtually.

When?

Events include free workshops, tours of our updated space, and creative showcases. In addition to Wednesday’s Open House at the Midpen Media Center, we’ll host a VIP Zoom-based Watch Party showcasing some of our producers’ work at lunchtime on Thursday, October 21st. Finally, we will close out the festivities by filming free PSAs for local nonprofits on Friday, October 22nd. The Open House will serve as our official reopening, with tours of the studio and newly revamped spaces, equipment demonstrations, partner tables, music, and food.
