Want guidance on how to make a movie and use it to apply for college or to build your portfolio?
Join our College Prep After School Program, where you will be in a small seminar-style cohort with other students who, like you, are working towards their dream of building a film portfolio. Our skilled instructor will guide you through the process.

We are now registering for our Late-Summer Intensive and our On-Going Fall After School Program!
Applying to college can already be a daunting task, and that’s without needing to make a fully developed short film! Our instructors and the staff at Midpen Media Center are here to help you through the process!
Our College Prep programs are designed for teens and young adults who have some experience making films and need guidance on the process of tackling a larger independent project, whether you’re wanting to build your portfolio or specifically make a film for your college application. Our instructors, filmmakers themselves, can help you through the entire process, from ideation, screenwriting, storyboarding, casting, shooting, editing, and promotion.
Each class, students will be given tasks to complete on their own time that they will then share with the cohort and receive personalized feedback and assistance in refining their work.

Cancellation Policy
You must notify us at least four working days prior to a class if you need to reschedule or cancel. A $10 administrative fee is charged for refunds. No refunds will be given during the three days prior to the class or after the first session under any circumstances.
Refunds
The Media Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class if our minimum of pre-registered students is not met. In the event of a cancellation, students will be rescheduled for another class or given a full refund.
