FIELD PRODUCTION AND EDITING NON-WORKSHOP EVENTS

MONTHLY MIXER: Public Service Announcement Videos, with Doug Kreitz (Jan 17, 7 – 9 pm)

Our January 2019 “Zoom In” Mixer will be a presentation (followed by discussion) about the unique requirements to keep in mind when producing “Public Service Announcement” (PSA) videos

“Zoom In” Instructor, Doug Kreitz, has prepared an overview presentation for us on the history of PSAs, and how they differ significantly from the videos typically produced for the Media Center Channels, YouTube, and social media sites. Doug will be showing us examples of effective and not-so-effective PSAs as part of his presentation.

PSAs have become a significant force in changing public attitudes on topics such as drinking and driving, crime abatement and various health/safety issues. This upcoming Mixer should generate a lot of discussion, and perhaps enthusiasm for you to try your hand at producing your own PSAs to add to your video skills portfolio.

Please join us on Thursday, January 17th from 7-9 pm.
