December 1st is Giving Tuesday – a global celebration of generosity. This is an opportunity to members of Midpen Media Center’s community to show their support by donating to our Giving Tuesday fundraiser. This year, our goal is to raise $12,000 – and we need your help to get there.
How You Can Help
- Donate! Any contribution goes a long way at a local community resource like ours. Like a stone in a pond, your donation will ripple out into the community and bring more eyes to our fundraising efforts – which, in turn, will inspire more to contribute to the cause. See our Paypal to make a donation today.
- Designate us as your non-profit of choice through Amazon Smile! While shopping on Amazon, you can send .05% of your total purchases right to us. Follow this link to support us while you shop.
- Like and share our content. Even after 30 years of dedication and service to our community, some might still call us Palo Alto’s “best kept secret.” Help us spill the beans this Giving Tuesday by boosting the signal about the Midpen Media Center’s goals to your personal network. Make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
- Volunteer with our team. Though our studio may be closed right now to ensure the safety of our friends, there are still plenty of volunteer opportunities available within the organization. You can lead an online seminar on a media-making topic of your choice. You can join our cohort of NextDoor advocates. You could even put your creative energy to work and produce video content about our community for our local channels. The possibilities are endless. Those interested in remote volunteer opportunities can email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Even during a pandemic, Midpen Media Center continues to serve our community because of the generosity of our donors. Our producers, youth participants, volunteers, interns, and media-making students have a community to call home because of the love and support of people like you. This Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to support the amazing artists and activists of your local community.
