Other Voices: Last Chance? The United Nations Global Conference on Climate Change


195 countries are trying to forge a legally binding global treaty to address climate change at the UN Global Conference on Climate Change underway in Paris. Can they do it? Paul George, Director of the Peninsula Peace & Justice Center, welcomes two of the country’s top climate scientists to help us understand what’s at stake.

They are: Christopher Field, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (AR5); Co-Chair, IPCC Working Group II; Founding Dir, Carnegie Science’s Dept of Global Ecology, and Katharine Mach, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (AR5); Director of Science, IPCC Working Gp II; Sr Research Assoc, Carnegie Science’s Dept of Global Ecology.
