It is recommended the Board approve the warrants for December 2015 as presented.

D. Board Policy Updates

It is recommended the Board approve Board Policies and Regulations as presented and discussed at its January 12, 2016, regular meeting. BP 6151 – Class Size; BP/AR 7132 – Animals at School for Non-Instructional Purposes; AR 5145.3 – Nondiscrimination/Harassment; BP/AR 5125 – Student Records; BP 4315.1 – Staff Evaluating Teachers; and BP 4231 – Staff Development.

Action / Discussion / Information Items

A. Mathematics Exploration, Pilot, Adoption

Elementary Math staff will present information regarding the exploration timeline for CCSS Math materials. This is an information item only and no action is required.

 

 

B. 2014-15 Annual Independent Audit Report

Staff and the District’s auditor, Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co. will present information about the annual audit. No action is required.

 

 

C. EMAC Recommendation For Stanford Housing

Board members will act on the recommendation to assign Stanford University’s new housing developments to the Nixon attendance area.

 

 

D. EMAC Recommendation For Task Force and Boundary Realignment

Board members will discuss draft language for the charge and parameters of a Task Force to explore educational models for the Cubberley site and contiguous school properties as well as the EMAC Elementary Subcommittee recommendation regarding realigning boundaries for elementary schools east of Alma that are adjacent to one another.

 

 

E. Submital of Plans to Division of State Architect (DSA) for The Gunn Central Building Project

Authorization to submit plans for Gunn Central Building Project to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) is requested.
