Approval of Consent Calendar

A. Certificated Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.

C. Approval of Minutes for December 15, 2020, Regular Board Meeting: It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for December 15, 2020, Regular Board Meeting.

H. Authorize Seeking Bids for Restoration and Re-Plastering of Greene Middle School Pool: It is recommended the Board authorize staff to seek bids from qualified contractors to restore and re-plaster the Greene Middle School Pool and appropriate Strong Schools Bond Planned Maintenance funds for this project.

I. Approval of the Conceptual Designs for the Greene Middle School Library, Food Service and Classroom Project, and Architect and Construction Management Contracts for Full Services through Construction, the Budget and Transfers to Fund the Projects, and Authorization to File for CEQA Exemptions: It is recommended the Board approve: 1) The conceptual design and scope of the project for the Greene Middle School Library, Food Service, and Classroom Building, 2) The full project budgets and transfer of funds from the Measure Z Middle School Reserve, 3) An Addendum with LPA Architects for architectural design services, 4) An Addendum with fs3|Hodges for project and construction management services, and 5) Authorization to file for CEQA Exemptions.

J. Board Policy (BP) 3511 Energy and Water Management: It is recommended the Board approve BP (BP) 3511 Energy and Water Management.

K. Board Policy (BP) 3510 Sustainable School Operations: It is recommended the Board approve BP 3510 Sustainable School Operations.

A. 2021-22 Draft Budget Assumptions: It is recommended the Board discuss the 2021-22 draft Budget Assumptions.

 

 

B. Approval of Recommendations from the Board Bond Advisory Committee (BBAC): It is recommended the Board approve the BBAC recommendations for: 1) A budget plan for funding air-conditioning at the elementary and middle schools, 2) Measure Z Educational Specifications, 3) Measure Z Master Plan, and 4) Expansion of the BBAC membership to include PTA representatives for elementary, middle, and high schools.

 

 

C. Status Report on Elementary School Bond Projects: The Board of Education will direct staff to provide additional information and analysis to inform future decisions about elementary school construction.

 

 

D. Approval of Schematic Design for the J.L. Stanford Middle School Library and Administration Building Project: It is recommended the Board approve the schematic design for the J.L. Stanford Middle School library and administration buildings project.

 

 

E. Approval of Cubberley I-Building Modernization Project Scope and Budget: It is recommended the Board discuss: 1. Scope of the Cubberley I-Building Modernization, 2. Budget for the Cubberley I-Building of $1,500,000, and 3. Transfer of $1,500,000 from the Measure A Reserve to the Escondido Measure A Budget and transfer $1,500,000 from the Escondido Measure Z budget to a new I-Building Measure Z budget.
