Approval of Consent Calendar
A. Certificated Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.
B. Classified Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented.
C. Approval of Minutes: It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for February 11, 2020, Regular Board Meeting.
D. Approval of Conceptual Designs for the JLS Middle School Library and Administration Building Project, Architect and Construction Management Contracts for Full Services through Construction, the Budget and Transfers to Fund the Projects, and Authorization to File for CEQA Exemptions: It is recommended the Board approve: 1) The conceptual design and scope of the project for the JLS Middle School Library and Administration project, 2) The full project budgets and transfer of funds from the Measure Z Middle Schools Reserve, 3) An addendum with SVA Architects for architectural design services, 4) An addendum with fs3|Hodges for project and construction management services, and 5) Authorization to file for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Exemptions.
E. Approval of January Warrants and Purchase Orders: It is recommended the Board approve the January warrants and purchase orders as presented.
F. Approval of Strong Schools Bond Change Orders: It is recommended the Board approve the attached list of Strong Schools Bond change orders as listed.
G. Authorization to Transfer Funds From Measure Z Reserve: It is recommended the Board authorize the transfer of a not-to-exceed amount of $500,000 from the Measure Z Technology Reserve to fund the Data Center and Core Networking Refresh Project.


Action Items
A. 2020 California School Boards Association (CSBA) Delegate Assembly Election: It is recommended the Board review the proposed list of candidates and determine who they wish to vote for.


B. Bid Results for Gunn and Paly Fields: It is recommended the Board authorize staff to award contracts for the replacement of the turf fields to: 1) Sprinturf for Gunn High School in the amount of $1,062,200, 2) Sprinturf for Palo Alto High School in the amount of $1,778,700, and 3) Authorize change orders not to exceed 10%, $106,220 for Gunn and $177,870 for Palo Alto High School.


C. Award of Contract for the Wired Network Infrastructure Refresh: It is recommended the Board authorize award of the contract for the wired network infrastructure refresh to Dasher Technologies in the amount of $2,816,960.87. Further that the amount of $2,816,960.87 be transferred from the Measure Z Technology Reserve to fund this project.

B. College/Career Readiness Indicator Report: Class of 2019: California designates high school graduates to be “prepared” on the California Dashboard College/Career Indicator (CCI) by considering a variety of outcomes and levels of attainment across multiple criteria. For the purposes of this report a baseline is defined using the Class of 2019, and will provide an understanding of how PAUSD students qualify as prepared.

B. Middle School Science Instructional Materials Adoption: It is recommended the Board approve Amplify Science and ExploreLearning Gizmos supplement, for use in grades 6–8, at the next regularly scheduled meeting on March 17, 2020.
