Approval of Consent Calendar

A. Certificated Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented..

B. Classified Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented..

C. Approval of Minutes: It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for April 23, 2019, Regular Board Meeting.

D. Extension of the Lease of the 525 San Antonio Site to Athena Academy: It is recommended the Board approve a one-year extension in the current lease for 525 San Antonio.

E. Authorization to Bid Summer Maintenance Projects: It is recommended the Board authorize staff to solicit bids for the summer maintenance projects listed below.

F. Authorization to Award the Contract for a Website Content Management Solution to Active Internet Technologies dba Finalsite: It is recommended the Board authorize staff to enter into a contract with Active Internet Technologies dba Finalsite for the creation, installation, and hosting of a website content management system for all PAUSD public-facing websites.

G. Sale of Surplus Equipment: It is recommended the Board: 1) Declare the items as surplus to future operations of the District, and 2) Direct the surplus items be sold by auction or disposed of.

H. Approval of Purchase Orders: It is recommended the Board approve the purchase orders as presented.

A. Tentative Agreement with Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA): It is recommended the Board approve the Tentative Agreement with PAEA.

 

 

B. Approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Palo Alto Management Association (PAMA): It is recommended the Board: 1) Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Palo Alto Management Association (PAMA) 2) Approve the financial terms of compensation increase detailed below.

 

C. School Funding and Mitigation Agreement: Stanford University: It is recommended the Board accept the request of Stanford University to pause the proposed School Funding and Mitigation agreement.

 

 

D. Resolution No. 2018-19.13 Requesting Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara to Establish Tax Rate for Bonds of the Palo Alto Unified School District Expected to be Sold During Fiscal Year 2019-20, and Authorizing Necessary Actions in Connection Therewith: It is recommended the Board: 1) Waive the two-meeting rule in the interest of meeting the County deadline 2) Approve Resolution No. 2018-19.13.

B. Dual Enrollment Memorandum Between Foothill-De Anza Community College and Palo Alto Unified School District: It is recommended the Board approve the proposed Dual Enrollment Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Foothill College and PAUSD.

 

 

C. History-Social Science Instructional Materials Recommendation for Government for Henry M. Gunn and Palo Alto High School: It is recommended the Board adopt the McGraw-Hill IMPACT: Principles of American Democracy and its online materials.

 

 

D. History-Social Science Instructional Materials Recommendation for World History and Contemporary World History Instructional Materials for Henry M. Gunn High School and Palo Alto High School: It is recommended the Board adopt the Cengage World History 9th Edition and its supplementary primary source text, The Human Record, Volume II.

 

 

E. Approve Budget Allocation for Measure Z: It is recommended the Board approve the attached budget for the Measure Z – Strong Schools Bond.

 

 

F. Authorization to Award an Architectural Services Contract in the Amount of $115,000 to Verde Design for the Replacement of the Turf Fields at Palo Alto and Gunn High School: It is recommended the Board authorize award of a design contract in the amount of $115,000 to Verde Design for architectural services for the replacement of the artificial turf football field and soccer/lacrosse field at Palo Alto High School and the football field at Gunn High School.

Association (CSEA) Chapter 301: It is recommended the Board discuss reopeners for CSEA for the
2019-20 school year.
H. Initial Proposals to the Board of Education for Negotiations with Palo Alto Educators Association
(PAEA): It is recommended the Board discuss reopeners for PAEA for the 2019-20 school year.

 

 

I. Student Nutrition Services Consultant Contract for 2019-20: It is recommended the Board renew the food service management and consulting contract with Sodexo for 2019-20.

 

 

J. Board Policy (BP) 6142.94 History-Social Science Instruction: It is recommended the Board approve BP 6142.94 History-Social Science Instruction.
