Approval of Consent Calendar

A. Certificated Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.

B. Classified Personnel Items: It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented.

C. Approval of Minutes: It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for May 12, 2020, Regular Board Meeting.

D. Approval of April Warrants and Purchase Orders: It is recommended the Board approve the April warrants and purchase orders as presented.

E. Resolution No. 2019-20.14 Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRANs): It is recommended the Board approve Resolution No. 2019-20.14 allowing the District to participate in the TRANs sponsored by the California School Boards Association Finance Corporation.

F. Initial Proposals to the Board of Education for Negotiations with California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 301: It is recommended the Board approve reopeners for CSEA for the 2020-21 school year.

G. Initial Proposals to the Board of Education for Negotiations with Palo Alto Educators Association (PAEA): It is recommended the Board approve reopeners for PAEA for the 2020-21 school year.

 

 

Action Items

A. Cubberley Lease Agreement: It is recommended the Board: 1. Waive the two meeting rule, and 2. Authorize staff to enter into an agreement with the City as per the terms of the attached lease agreement.

 

 

B. Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators for Certificated Employees: It is recommended the Board: 1) Waive the two-meeting rule, and 2) Approve the Declaration of Need for 2020-21 as presented, so we may apply for permits as needed prior to the start of the new school year.

A. Budget Planning and Development for 2020-21: It is recommended the Board discuss the Budget Assumptions, ongoing cost of doing business expenditures, budget reductions, and the current revenue scenario for inclusion in the District’s 2020-21 Adopted Budget.

 

 

B. Resolution to Lay Off Classified Employees: It is recommended the Board discuss Resolution No. 2019-20.15 Resolution to Lay Off Classified Employees.

 

 

C. Approval of Schematic Design for the Building A, B, and K Renovation Project at Gunn High School, Addendum for Architectural Design Services, and Budget Adjustment: It is recommended the Board approve the schematic design for the Building A, B, and K Renovation project at Gunn High School, and approve budget adjustment to fund the additional scope of work.

 

 

D. Authorization to Issue Addendum No. 1 to SVA Architects at Palo Verde Elementary School: It is recommended the Board approve Addendum No. 1 to SVA at Palo Verde Elementary School in the amount of $50,000.
