Study Session

1. Review and Comment on the Page Mill Road Corridor Study sponsored by County of Santa Clara Roads and Airports Department: The City of Palo Alto will be conducting a study session with the Planning and Transportation Commission discussing the Page Mill Road Corridor Study which is being prepared by the County of Santa Clara Roads and Airports Department. Based on an analysis of existing and projected traffic conditions, the County is recommending several improvements along the corridor including at the I-280 interchange as well as along Page Mill Road between the interchange and Oregon Expressway, which includes capacity and operational enhancements and improve bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Public Hearing

2. Interim Retail Ordinance: The Planning and Transportation Commission will consider a recommendation to the City Council for adoption of an Interim Ordinance Limiting Conversion of Ground Floor Retail and “Retail Like” Uses to Other Uses Citywide. The proposed ordinance falls under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption found in Title 14 California Code of Regulations Section 15061(b)(3) because it is designed to preserve the status quo.
