Racial & Social Injustice in America: A Public Roundtable Part 2

Our community conversation on racial and social injustice in our country will continue on Wednesday, July 29 at 7pm! We welcome returning moderators Allyson Hobbs and Rev. Kaloma Smith, plus many of our distinguished panelists including Palo Alto Mayor Fine, East Palo Alto Mayor Wallace-Jones, and Menlo Park Mayor Taylor. At our first roundtable we identified the big questions that our communities face to confront and combat racial and social injustice. We plan to continue that conversation, and potentially focus some of our energies toward finding solutions and creating an action plan for how to move forward.

As was the case at our first panel, we are calling on our community to join us for an open and honest conversation about systems of racism and violence in our country and our neighborhoods, and to seek out solutions to these issues. The podium will be opened to those attendees who want to talk about personal experiences, issues around police reform, or broader contextual issues such as prejudice, education, and lack of economic opportunities. Midpen Media is committed to listening, learning, and allowing the thoughts and needs of those attending to inform the structure of this dialogue.

This two-hour roundtable will begin at 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, on the Zoom platform. There is no need to RSVP.
