Scary Cow was a 200-member cooperative, based in San Francisco. Members pool resources and know-how to make short independent films, with either no budget or with money awarded from a prior film. Films were made every 4 months, and the final product is shown on a big screen film festival in San Francisco. Many Scary Cow films were shot in part at the Media Center.
