With limited access to the Midpen Media Center and no new studio shows in production, Jesse Norfleet, Director of Programs, is designing special program blocks to air on our channels to entertain and inspire the community as we shelter in place.
Over the last full week of March, Midpen Media produced shows that won or were nominated for Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards aired on channel 30. The 14 high-quality shows span art, sports and hot button social topics. If you missed them on TV watch them here.
Youth-produced shows airing this month might spark an interest in your kids to hone their media skills at our upcoming summer camp! Saturdays April 11th and 18th will be dedicated to our last two years of middle school youth summer camp shows on channel 28. Expect wacky skits, PSAs and game shows as the campers learn to use floor cameras, virtual sets, and much more.
Catch replays of our high school intern produced series “MC Youth Presents: Young Political Activists” Wednesdays April 15, 22, and 29th repeating the following Thursday mornings on channel 28. The high school intern program runs October through May where students learn how to produce TV shows along with other media and studio related skills. All “MC Youth Presents” programs over the last five years can be viewed here.
To help you stay active and eat delicious and healthy food at home, we are airing some of our best exercise and cooking programs throughout April. Get moving with “High Five Fitness,” “Yoga with Hanna,” and “Yoga for Health & Joy.” Bend, stretch and don’t forget to breathe. Episodes of “Fredrico’s Kitchen” and “Healthy & Delicious” will inspire you to get creative with your home-cooked meals while boosting your overall health.
