Join us Tuesday, November 3rd, for live local election coverage. Midpen Media has partnered with Palo Alto Weekly to bring you the issues and races that matter most on the Mid-peninsula. Our joint coverage will broadcast live on cable channel 30 and on Midpen Media’s website, and stream live on Palo Alto Weekly’s YouTube channel.
East Palo Alto Media Center Director Henrietta Burroughs and former Palo Alto City Council Member Victor Ojakian will host the one hour show along with Palo Alto Weekly Editor Jocelyn Dong. Palo Alto Weekly will create the election night content, and Midpen Media will produce the coverage with professional-level Zoom webinar features.
An exciting pre-produced, on-location segment at the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters office will be shown during the live show. Doug Kreitz, a Midpen Media videographer, accompanied Palo Alto Weekly Editorial Assistant Lloyd Lee to the Santa Clara County registrar’s office to interview Mike Fong, the Election Division Coordinator for the Elections Logistics and Voting Systems Division. Viewers will find out what happens once ballots are cast, how they are sorted, scanned, secured, and processed.
In addition to the joint coverage, Midpen Media has prepared for the live election night updates by identifying the races within its coverage area (Santa Clara County, San Mateo County) and statewide to continually live-stream proposition and candidate results to our government channel.
Tune in to cable channel 30 at 10:00 PM, November 3rd, to hear a lively discussion on local races and follow live election updates.
