It is recommended the Board approve all items of the Consent Calendar as presented or amended.

B. Certificated Personnel Items

It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.

C. Classified Personnel Items

It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented.

D. Approval of Warrants

It is recommended the Board approve the warrants for February 2017 as presented.

E. Approval of Minutes

It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for February 28, 2017, regular meeting.

F. Approval of Minutes

It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for March 14, 2017, special meeting.

G. Approval of Minutes

It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for March 14, 2017, regular meeting.

H. Approval of Minutes

It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for March 17, 2017, continuation of March 14, 2017, regular meeting.

I. Appointment of Independent Auditors (Chavan and Associates, LLP, and Christy White Accountancy) for the 2016-17 Audits

It is recommended the Board approve the appointment of independent auditors for the District’s financial audit. This item was discussed at the March 14, 2017, regular meeting.

J. Authorization to Bid Summer Maintenance Items for Multiple Roofing Repairs and Energy Efficient (Lighting) Projects

It is recommended the Board approve authorizing summer projects at Barron Park, Duveneck, Escondido, Fairmeadow, Greendell, Briones, Nixon, Ohlone, Palo Verde, Hays, Jordan, and the District office. This item was discussed at the March 14, 2017, regular meeting

K. Middle School Mathematics Textbook Adoption

It is recommended the Board approve the recommended textbooks. This item was discussed at the March 14, 2017, regular meeting.

Action / Discussion / Information Items

A. Probationary Certificated Staff Members Recommended for Permanent Status

It is recommended the Board reelect the certificated staff members thereby granting them permanent status at the start of the new school year as presented. ACTION

 

 

B. Weighted Grade Point Average

Staff will make recommendations for reporting weighted grades on transcripts and also for future policy work. The Board will discuss and then consider action at a future meeting. DISCUSSION

 

 

C. Selection of Independent Investigator

Investigator: The Board will discuss the recommended appointment of the Law Offices of Amy Oppenheimer to conduct investigations identified in Section E of the OCR Resolution Agreement. DISCUSSION

 

 

D. Proposed School Calendars for 2017-18, 2018-19, with two possible calendars for 2019-20

The Board will discuss adopting the proposed 2017-18 and 2018-19 school calendars, and consider adoption of the 2019-20 school calendar at a future meeting. DISCUSSION

 

 

E. Board Policy Review Committee (BPRC) Matrix

F. Authorization to Award a Contract for Construction of the Central Building Project at Gunn High School

It is recommended the Board authorize staff to proceed with awarding the contract. ACTION

 

 

GAuthorizations for Palo Alto High School: (1) To Bid Building 700 Renovation and (2) To Purchase Faculty Office Furniture and Equipment

The Board will discuss authorizing staff to solicit bids and authorize the purchase of faculty office furniture and equipment. DISCUSSION

 

 

H. Authorization to Award a Contract for Refresh of Wireless Infrastructure

It is recommended the Board authorize staff to award the contract for wireless infrastructure refresh to Dasher Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $899,861. ACTION
