Meditative vibes flow from Swara Lahari’s (http://www.swaralahari.org) in studio musical performances. The classical Indian music concert series is filmed at the Midpen Media Center against colorful sets. Swara Lahari finished production on 11 new concerts between April and June to add to their archive of over 450 episodes. The national-award-winning series showcases established and emerging instrumentalist and vocalists specialized in Carnatic and Hindustani music forms.
Recent episodes feature jazz-infused Indian classics with musician Ragavan Manian and the All Indian Radio national music competition winner Samarth Nagarkar. The studio audience of 60 enjoyed the relaxing arrangements up close while viewers around the world watched the live stream broadcasts on Facebook. Shows air on Bay Area cable stations and are available to watch anytime on Swara Lahari’s website and YouTube page.
