Approval of Consent Calendar
A. Approval of Minutes for the September 16, 2025, Regular Board Meeting. It is recommended the Board approve the minutes for the September 16, 2025, Regular Board Meeting.
B. Certificated Personnel Items. It is recommended the Board approve the certificated personnel items as presented.
C. Classified Personnel Items. It is recommended the Board approve the classified personnel items as presented.
D. Job Description for Sustainability Program Manager. It is recommended the Board approve the job description for District Sustainability Program Manager.
E. 2025-26 Salary Schedule for Supervisory/Confidential Personnel. It is recommended the Board approve the updated list of positions on the Supervisory/Confidential Salary Schedule. There are no compensation increases to the salary schedule.
F. Approval of September Warrants and Purchase Orders. It is recommended the Board approve the September warrants and purchase orders as presented.
G. Sale or Disposal of Surplus of Various Items. It is recommended the Board: 1) Declare the items as surplus to future operations of the District, and 2) Direct that the surplus items be sold by auction, donation or disposal.
H. Authorization to Approve an Agreement with American Consulting Engineers Electrical, Inc. for Design Services for 2026 Fire Alarm Projects. It is recommended the Board approve an Agreement with American Consulting Engineers Electrical, Inc. (ACEE) for design services for the 2026 Fire Alarm Projects for $373,000 for Barron Park, Juana Briones, Ohlone, and Walter Hays Elementary Schools.
I. Authorization to Approve an Agreement with Allana Buick Bers for Roof Replacement at the Gunn High School Bow Gym Building. It is recommended the Board approve an agreement with Allana Buick Bers (ABB) for design and consulting services for $66,000 for Roof Replacement at the Gunn High School Bow Gym Building.
J. Authorization to Approve an Agreement with Allana Buick Bers for Roof Replacement at Walter Hays Elementary School Administration Building. It is recommended the Board approve an agreement with Allana Buick Bers (ABB) for design and consulting services in the amount of $64,000 for Roof Replacement at the Walter Hays Administration Building.
K. Authorization to Award the Duveneck Elementary School Electrical Upgrade Contract for the Multi-Site Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Replacement Project. It is recommended the Board: 1) Authorize staff to award a contract to General Lighting Services (GLS) for an electrical upgrade at Duveneck for $2,181,250, and authorize the Superintendent or his designee to approve change orders in an amount not to exceed 10% of the contract, or $218,125, and 2) Approve the incremental increase to the project budget of $2,399,375 to the previously approved budgets for the overall project.
L. Authorization to Issue Addendum 24 to LPA Architects to Provide Additional Services for the Greene Middle School Library and Classroom Building Project. It is recommended the Board approve Addendum 24 to LPA Architects for $67,925 to provide additional services for the Greene Library and Classroom Building Project.
M. Independent Contractor Agreement Between Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) and SchoolStatus, LLC. It is recommended the Board approve the contract and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SchoolServices, LLC.
N. Northwest Special Education Local Plan Area (NW SELPA) Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Representative Appointment. It is recommended the Board appoint Momo Yanagihara as a District Representative to the Northwest Special Education Local Plan Area (NW SELPA) Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for two years, 2025-27.
O. Resolution No. 2025-26.04 Sufficiency of Instructional Materials. It is recommended the Board approve Resolution No. 2025-26.04 Sufficiency of Instructional Materials for 2025-26.
P. Resolution No. 2025-26.06 Annual Reauthorization for the Child Development Contract for the 2025-26 School Year. It is recommended the Board approve Resolution No. 2025-26.06 California State Preschool Program (CSPP) for the 2026-27 school year.
